Spring always seems to be the kickoff season for new development proposals, and this year is already starting quickly.
2830 Dryden Drive: The owners of the Northside Town Center are proposing a 27-unit, multi-family apartment building at 2830 Dryden Drive. Rents would be market rate. The site is currently home to a small office building. A public meeting took place on May 28 to discuss the preliminary proposal, which included a brief outline of the site plan. The owners are just beginning this project proposal, and SNA looks forward to hearing more as plans develop.
1212 Huxley Ave: MSP Real Estate is investigating the possibility of purchasing the current Heritage Credit Union headquarters on Huxley to build a 120-unit, mixed-income housing development. This project is still in its very early stages--the purchase of the property is not yet complete. MSP plans to join the next Sherman Neighborhood Association meeting on July 1 to discuss their plan.
